I made a list. This list is unlike any other of lists i have comprised thus far, for those that are revealed on this list is proof that I have came in contact with people who love me, trusted MY word, believed in me, people that didn’t have to say they cared and even those who have never even spoken the words of love for me but with their countless actions that I am grateful to recollect I am reminded that actions will always speak louder than words. For myself, I never understood self love until these last couple of years of my life so to experience pure love being poured into this little black girl is undoubtedly beautiful and most times is what continues to assist me into never stop believing in love, to never place doubt side by side with knowing I am forever loved and immensely respected. Countless times throughout my life I have felt undeserving and unworthy from anything and everyone, so much that it became my normal to purposely detour the hearts and minds of others I could feel growing more a than just fond of me, away from loving someone like me. But, as they say “the same ones who push love and optimism away, are the very ones who need it most”. Today I am grateful to know and accept LOVE.
